The Localisation Research Centre's 10th Annual Localisation Conference was the venue for the presentation of the 2005 LRC Best Global Website Award, sponsored by the world's largest interactive marketing agency, Euro RSCG 4D.

In an unprecedented move the judging panel unanimously decided to present the LRC Best Global Website Award 2005 ex aequo to www.mondialogo.org and www.axelbeaqueen4aday.com / www.axelsiquiero.com.

BBC World Service

The 2nd Annual LRC Best Global Website award was presented at the Localisation Research Centre's 9th Annual Localisation Conference, "Open Source Localisation".

The review panel for this award consisted of eminent experts in the area of marketing, web design, internationalisation

and localisation from various different European companies. The judging panel agreed to present the 2004 LRC Best Global Website Award to the BBC World Service for their "Your Voice" websites:

BBC World Service broadcasts programmes around the world in 43 languages and is available on radio and online at www.bbcworldservice.com. Its international online sites attract around 280 million page impressions and reach more than 16 million unique users a month.

Swedish National Agency for School Improvement

The Localisation Research Centre's 8th Annual Localisation Conference and Industry Showcase in Dublin was the venue for the presentation of the inaugural Best Global Website Award, sponsored by Euro RSCG Interaction.

The review panel consisted of eminent experts in the area of marketing, web design, internationalisation and localisation from different European companies.

The panel unanimously decided to present the inaugural LRC ELECT Best Global Website Award 2003 to www.modersmal.net, developed by the Swedish National Agency for School Improvement.
